What is BrowseReporter?
BrowseReporter is a powerful web-monitoring tool that allows you to monitor the Internet browsing activities and application usage of your employees or students.

Does the CurrentWare Server need to be installed on a Server?
No, the CurrentWare Server is not restricted to a Server computer.It can be installed any other Windows operating systems.

Can my users stop the CurrentWare Client?
No, the CurrentWare Client cannot be uninstalled without the Admin's password

Which Internet browser does BrowseReporter support?
BrowseReporter supports the following popular Internet browsers - Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

Does BrowseReporter track application usage?
Yes - it tracks all the Windows active applications that are running on your computers - including video games, movie players, unproductive tools and etc.

Which operating systems does CurrentWare support?
CurrentWare Server, Console and Clients are supported on Windows 7, 8, 10, Server 2008, 2012 and 2016. Both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms are supported.

Do my users know that I am controlling or tracking them?
The CurrentWare Client runs in stealth mode. The client is not listed under the installed program.

How long is the free trial?
The trial is fully functional. You can install it on 10 computers. The trial will last for 14 days.

Can I generate a report for specific computers or users?
Yes, Click on the Run Report button on the right hand side of the CurrentWare Console under the BrowseReporter tab. Specify the computers or users under the “PCs & Users” option.

Does BrowseReporter track private/inprivate/incognito sessions?
Yes it does!


Advanced Questions

How much storage do I need for BrowseReporter?
BrowseReporter uses very little hard drive space. BrowseReporter approximately consumes 1 MB per user per one month of tracked Internet activities.

If my user deletes their Internet history, will BrowseReporter still track it?
Yes it will. BrowseReporter tracks the data into its proprietary database. Even if the user deletes their browsing history, BrowseReporter will still upload the activities to the server.

I have remote workers working at home or at a different location. Will CurrentWare still work for me?
Yes! You can connect the CurrentWare Client over the Internet to the public IP address of your CurrentWare Server network. You will need to configure your firewall or router to port forward CurrentWare traffic to the CurrentWare Server computer on the network.

My computer is not showing up on the CurrentWare Console. (Client Connection Issue)

How much data does BrowseReporter keep?
BrowseReporter does not delete data automatically. It will keep your data forever until you delete them manually. There is a built-in tool to delete data after a certain period.
