Idle Time Limit

Internet sessions that are perceived to be inactive or idle can be filtered out from the Internet Usage report by defining the “Idle Time” value before you run the report.

This function is optional and the time limit value is defined by the CurrentWare Console administrator. Any web session that has a time period longer than the idle time limit will not be displayed in the reports.

For example, if a user leaves an Internet browser open on a website while he is away from the desk, this web session’s duration will be accumulated in the reports even when the user is not physically there. If the idle time limit is enabled, then this specific session could be excluded from the Internet usage report. This will give a more accurate result of the total browsing time when the idle time limit is set to a suitable value.
